TRADITIONS

Flag Raising
For resident campers we have a traditional "flag raising ceremony" at 7:50 am every morning with morning announcements. At 5:45 pm a "flag lowering ceremony" and evening announcements. This ceremony and the Pledge of Allegiance are part of the rich traditions maintained at Cloverleaf Ranch.

Awards
We give awards in riflery , archery and individual awards in horsemanship and crafts. A special award may be granted to a camper for exemplary leadership.

Green & White
The Saturday during two-week resident camp sessions, we culminate with a camp competition. The entire camp is on either the Green team or the White team. They compete in various activities and have spirit rallies and skits. While both teams want to win, SPORTSMANSHIP IS STRESSED!

Camp Units
Our camp is divided into four separate units. Tenderfeet are entering 2nd to 5th grade, Dudes are entering 6th and 7th grade and the oldest campers are Broncos entering 8th and 9th grade. Campers going into 10th grade are invited into our CILT program.

International Night
During the two-week sessions, the counselors put on International Night. Here we enjoy learning about other countries and cultures from our overseas staff and sampling a traditional meal from that country. We have enjoyed Russia, England, New Zealand, Australia, Israel and USA.

Order of the Arrow
Initiation into the "Order of the Arrow" has three levels of accomplishment which the campers - through their leadership, positive attitude, hard work, honesty and sportsmanship - aspire to receive this honor.
